Many Americans have asked themselves, \u201cI wonder if any of my ancestors were Patriots in the American Revolutionary War?\u201d Finding the answer has drawn over a million women to join the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) since it was founded in 1890. Finding our family history reflected in our nation\u2019s history, learning how people lived and worked, and seeing their patriotism and belief in freedom encourages us to preserve our nation\u2019s heritage. Our chapter can assist you in identifying Patriot ancestors, researching your family history, and helping prepare your DAR membership application. In addition to genealogy and historic preservation, our chapter works to promote patriotism, education, service to veterans, and to improve the communities in which we live.<\/p>\n
