Lockwood,&nbsp;Ellen Walworth, Mary Desha, and Eugenia Washington founded the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution in Washington, D.C. More than 930,000 women have joined the organization since it was founded close to 125 years ago. They became members to honor their heritage as well as make a difference in their communities across the country and the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The ladies who came together to form the Hickory Bluff Chapter NSDAR are dedicated to making a difference in our community as we&nbsp;work on projects focused on patriotism, education, and historical preservation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fssdar.com\/HickoryBluff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/HICKORY-BLUFF-ORGANIZING-and-CHARTER-MEMBERS.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-159 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/fssdar.com\/HickoryBluff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/HICKORY-BLUFF-ORGANIZING-and-CHARTER-MEMBERS.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"698\" height=\"878\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On October 11, 1890, Mary S.
