Welcome to the Hickory Bluff Chapter, NSDAR
The Hickory Bluff Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), seeks to honor the traditions and mission of the National Society while being innovative and imaginative in how we engage our members. Recognizing the busy schedules of today’s women, we have evening dinner meetings.
Our Chapter was formed on May 24, 2015, when fifteen of us came together to have our first organized meeting. On May 25, 2016, our growing body of thirty-one ladies celebrated the first anniversary of our Hickory Bluff Chapter, NSDAR. Our society is focused on promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism within our community. Members are in involved philanthropic activities that support DAR affiliated organizations. Through these service projects, we are able to form lasting bonds of friendship.
The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-political service organization of woman whose ancestors contributed to the American cause during our county’s struggle for independence from England. Our Motto: God, Home and Country.
The DAR has more than 190,000 active members worldwide who volunteer their time on over 50 standing committees related to our mission. We are passionate about genealogy, conservation, American History, recognition for our veterans of all branches of the armed forces and support our active military. We have opportunities for involvement that encompass everything from Butterflies to tutoring.
Our chapter is new and growing. We love helping others fund their American Revolutionary War ancestors so they can join our Chapter.
