Naturalization Court
Our chapter takes its turn with other chapters in our regent’s council welcoming new citizens at the naturalization ceremonies in Fort Myers.
Community Service
We have used the National DAR Day of Service on October 11 to show appreciation for our men and women who are first responders through food items, cards, and letters. In 2016 we honored the Charlotte County Fire Departments, preparing special “Survival Kit” treat bags. In 2017 we assembled goodie baskets for the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Department.
Veterans
Through Project Patriot we are ready to contribute to the needs, and emotional support of our active duty military personnel. This committee presents the Outstanding Cadet Award for the JROTC candidate at the local high school, as well as the Youth Citizenship Award for Eagle Scouts when they reach this accomplishment plateau.
