Community Involvement

Since its founding in 1890, members of the Daughters of the American Revolution have worked tirelessly to promote historic preservation, patriotism, and educational ideals in communities across this nation and in overseas chapters. The Naples-on-the-Gulf Chapter is fully committed to supporting our community in Southwest Florida and beyond. Our members are very active in the community and engaged in many projects to further the goals of the DAR.

Current projects include:
- essay contest and scholarship for female cadets of JROTC at Gulf Coast High School
- collecting needed items for local women and children's shelters
- collecting stamps for veterans in rehabilitation
- collecting items for care packages sent to women serving overseas

Our members also volunteer many hours for several organizations throughout our community.
