Membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution is open to any woman 18 years or older who can prove a lineal descent from an ancestor who aided or supported the fight for American independence during the period 1775 and 1783. It opens the doors of opportunity to join the thousands of active women in the numerous chapters worldwide, who share a common bond in the ancestral history of the founding of the United States of America. Nowhere else can one find such a distinguished group of women with such a rich heritage and spirit.

Over 50 committees are actively engaged in projects related to American heritage, American history, Americanism, American Indians, conservation, commemorative events, DAR schools, service for veterans, DAR Project Patriot, national defense, and many more. Members, or Daughters as we call them, are actively engaged in their communities performing a wide variety of services. No matter where your talents, strengths, and interests lie, there is a DAR committee tailored for you. What a wonderful way to leave your mark on history!
