Rufus Fairbanks Chapter participates in the following activities:
- We support special veterans groups in Brevard County
- ROTC medals are provided to outstanding students on the recommendation of their commander
- Scholarship contest for a deserving local senior, funded by the chapter
- American History Essay contest
- DAR Good Citizens contest
These awards are provided for appropriate candidates, with no regard to race, sex, religion, or sexual orientation.
