DAR Eligibility Requirements: * Any woman 18 years of age or older; * Must prove lineage and blood descent from an ancestor who fought or participated in the American Revolution; * Must submit documentation of events such as marriage, birth, death. When you join the DAR, you are preserving your ancestor's memory and service forever. Once your application is approved, other family members can use your documentation as a starting point, saving them time on research. DAR's library in Washington, D.C., has a huge inventory of genealogy records, books, family trees, and more.
